As an educator, Ms. DeBoer has been honored to work with students aged 4 to adult in classrooms, workshops, festivals, guest lectures and private studio lessons. She currently holds a TA-ship at Bowling Green State University, where she has taught private voice as well as classroom voice, and is currently directing a full prodcution of "The Mikado" by Gilbert and Sullivan. She maintains a private voice studio outside of the university, and is often called upon to give workshops and lectures on various topics such as contemporary vocal repertoire, composing for the voice, and vocal improvisation. Ms. DeBoer was recently a guest faculty member at the SoundSCAPE Festival for Composition and Performance in Maccagno, Italy where she received the award for Outstanding Contemporary Performer as a participant in 2008.
