Dal Niente and Limerick Rhythms at Kehrein Center for the Arts
Ensemble Dal Niente teams up with Limerick Rhythms, a new collective featuring Douglas R. Ewart (composer, reeds, percussion, George Floyd Bunt Staff); Renee Baker (composer, violin, viola); Lou Malozzi (composer, live electronics); Rin Peisert (choreographer and dancer); and Cristal Sabbagh (choreographer and dancer). The opening half of the program will feature Dal Niente soprano Amanda DeBoer Bartlett performing a combination of open-score and improvised works. This is the second in a series of shared programs between Dal Niente and other respected Chicago artists, supported by a DCASE Chicago Artists Recovery Program Grant.

Piece Her Together features soprano Amanda DeBoer Bartlett in a fully-staged theatrical production of two mono-dramatic works: Eliza Brown’s The Body of the State, a portrayal of Juana of Castile's imprisonment at the hands of her family, and Katherine Young’s When stranger things happen, a noir meditation on loss, myths of femininity, and the potential of the imagination.

Quince begins their fall season at Constellation with Where Is Home Now?, featuring the world premieres of works by Chicago composers David Reminick, Fredrick Gifford, and Quince's own Amanda DeBoer Bartlett. In addition, they perform the Chicago premieres of two works by Laura Steenberge and Cara Haxo from their upcoming album Motherland. This raw, intimate program explores dreams, perception, and the grandeur of cataclysmic events.
Matthew Oliphant will be opening up the concert with a piece by Jonathon Kirk for horn and electronics as well as a short improvisation.
